#199 Reopen Closed Tabs

Have you ever closed a tab accidentally? Most modern browsers have shortcuts that you can use to recover closed tabs. Here is how to reopen closed tabs in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.

Most modern browsers have shortcuts that you can use to recover closed tabs. Here is how to reopen closed tabs in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.

 

  • Internet Explorer

 Ctrl + Shift + T

You can also open a new tab and locate a button labeled “Reopen closed tabs” to view a list of recently closed tabs.  For more information, please see this Microsoft support article.

 

  • Firefox

 Ctrl + Shift + T  (on Macs: Command + Shift + T)

You can also view a list of recently closed tabs by clicking on the “Firefox” menu in the top left, hovering the cursor over “History”, and then again hovering over “Recently Closed Tabs”. 

 

  • Chrome

 Ctrl + Shift + T  (on Macs: Command + Shift + T)

You can also view a list of recently closed tabs by opening a new tab and locating a button labeled “Recently Closed” in the bottom right corner.

 

  • Safari

 Command + Z

You can view a list of recently accessed web pages by clicking on “History” in the menu bar.
