The University of Pennsylvania will launch Workday Learning on March 6. It will replace Knowledge Link, the University’s current job-related learning management system (LMS). This new service will connect University faculty, staff, postdocs, and student workers with their required job training and other learning opportunities directly from Workday.

Workday Learning also replaces Penn Profiler, the University’s web-based training requirement survey. Based on job data and other defined criteria, Workday will automatically assign training required by federal and state laws and regulations, granting agencies, and University policy. Training can also be manually assigned by individuals, their managers, and LMS administrators.

To facilitate a smooth transition, University learners’ Knowledge Link training history and assignments, along with existing University training courses, will automatically move to Workday Learning. Integrated access to LinkedIn Learning will continue.

Learners will have a variety of self-service, online, and live support to assist them in Workday, starting on March 6.

University and UPHS Dual Users

The University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS) will continue to use Knowledge Link. For “dual users,” those University and Health System faculty, staff, and others who work in both environments, a new learning portal will provide secure, one-stop access to both Workday Learning and Knowledge Link. The University and the Health System have been working together to enable a seamless transition, enhanced user experience, and efficient training content and data sharing, including compliance reporting.

Workday Learning Demonstration and Training

Members of the University community are invited to attend a live, virtual demonstration of Workday Learning on Wednesday, March 8 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET. The demonstration will be recorded for later access. Get the Zoom registration link and more information by logging into the Workday@Penn website (PennKey required). The Zoom meeting is limited to 300 participants.
