Thank you to our friends and alumni who made our Challenge in December 2020 a success!

Thanks to the generosity of our friends and alumni, the Law School’s recent Board of Advisors Challenge was a success! The Board set the Challenge in early December – promising to donate $250,000 to the Fund for Penn Law if 1,000 donors made a gift before the end of the year. It was a bold goal, yet the Law School community responded enthusiastically. Over 1,400 donors contributed to the Fund through the Challenge, raising over $1,000,000. When combined with the $250,000 gift, the Law School received more than $1,250,000 in donations to the Fund, which provides critical funding to boost financial aid for students, COVID-19 measures, and other vital needs.

“The tremendous outpouring of support from alumni and the Board of Advisors is a testament to the collegiality and dedication that exists at the Law School and after graduation,” said Genvieve Shields, the Law School’s Director of Annual Giving. “We are grateful for every gift that will have a direct impact on our students this year.”

Even though the December Challenge was a triumph, support of the Fund for Penn Law remains a pressing need. If you would like to make a gift to the Fund, please go to the online giving page for the University.
