Alex Mueller L’21

Alex Mueller is a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he was the research and publication editor of the Journal of Law and Innovation.

While at Penn Carey Law, Mueller also served as a research assistant to Anita Allen, Henry R. Silverman Professor of Law and Professor of Philosophy, for whom he researched, selected, and edited material for inclusion in the fourth edition of the “Privacy Law and Society” casebook.

His other work experience includes working as a summer associate for Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, working on a multi-state survey examining the enforceability of contractual damage limitations in service contracts, drafting an IT outsource agreement, and researching disclosure of third-party cloud service arrangements in annual SEC filings.

Before attending law school, Mueller was an advisory associate in cybersecurity and privacy for a leading global provider of assurance, tax, and consulting services for businesses. He assessed client data protection programs, developed strategies for improving their effectiveness, and constructed post-data breach remediation plans.

Mueller obtained his BS in information systems and economics at Marquette University.
