What I Am Hoping to Do With My Law Degree:

I'd like to work in public policy/politics, hopefully in Philadelphia or representing Pennsylvania at the national level.

My Best Experience at Penn Law:

I loved my First Year section, we were a tight group, and I enjoyed coming to class everyday because of the environment.

Professor Who Influenced Me Most:

Professor Wendell Pritchett is a native Philadelphian, like myself, and incorporated current events and local issues into his property law class. It reinvigorated me with a desire to use my education towards improving the local region.

My Favorite Course:

I really enjoyed my legal writing section. My instructor was great, and she helped me sharpen my legal writing and research skills which was very helpful for my summer job interning for a judge.

Meaningful Cross-disciplinary Experience at Penn:

I’m getting a certificate of business and public policy at Wharton. The ability to take classes at arguably the best business program in the country is amazing. It’s nice to get a break from the Law School sometimes and interact with other students. There is much overlap in the subject matter, and it’s a useful expansion of my legal education.

Penn Law is known for its collegial environment. Why is collegiality important to a legal education? How has it affected your legal education?

My friends in classes are great about sharing notes and outlines, getting together for study group sessions and helping each other if someone is struggling with an answer in class. I have never heard of anything like it at another law school. It makes the experience much more enjoyable when you are only competing with yourself.

My Favorite Philadelphia Moment:

I know Philadelphia because I grew up here. But it has been great to introduce my friends to local bars and restaurants. Our class organized a lot of social outings last year, and each was a great time having fun in center city.

What I'm Most Proud Of:

I'm most proud of being able to balance my social and academic life. I live by the motto of "Work Hard, Play Hard" and I have definitely been able to do that so far at Penn.

My Extracurricular Activities at Penn Law:

Journal of Constitutional Law
Jewish Law Students Association
Equal Justice Foundation
Morris Fellow
Independent Research Project

What I Did For Public Interest:

Marshall Brennan Constitutional Law Program Instructor
Philadelphia District Attorney's Office

My Favorite Place or Activity on the University Campus:

Law School Courtyard
