What I Did Before Law School:

Before arriving to Penn Law, I practiced law (mainly Business Law) and studied for my M.B.A in Finance.

Why I Chose Penn Law:

The high quality of the academic faculty and of the student body at Penn Law was, for me, a challenge and created a most stimulating environment for study and research. Moreover, the school's excellent reputation and its specialty in Law & Economics constituted a large part of its attraction and fascination for me.

As such, I was convinced that studying at Pennsylvania Law will accord me a deep theoretical understanding, a broader perspective, and provide me the tools to complete a comprehensive and in-depth research project -- allowing me to realize my academic and professional goals and targets.

My thoughts about the University of Pennsylvania Law School were reinforced by my mentors at the Hebrew University. They told me that only at an excellent university, such as Penn Law, would I be able to acquire both a wide perspective in Law & Economics in general and be able to specialize in my particular area of interest.

My Best Experience at Penn Law:

It was during my second semester in Penn Law that I first had the opportunity to become a teacher's assistant during which I gave a one hour weekly session for students attending Corporate Finance (Law School); Taxes and Business Strategies (Law School) and Advanced Corporate Finance (Wharton).

Professor Who Influenced Me Most:

I was deeply influenced by three Professors: Michael Knoll, Ed Rock and Michael Wachter. All three played a crucial role in helping me improve my dissertation. Each of the Professors' personal view highlighted different aspects of the interaction between Law & Finance and helped me achieve a more thorough and in-depth understanding of this interaction as it relates to Corporate Law.

My Favorite Course:

Except for Corporate Finance (which I participated in not as a student but rather as a teacher's assistant) my favorite courses are Antitrust (by Professor Ed Rock) and Securities Regulation (by Professor William Tyson). Both courses are closely related to my fields of interest, were very challenging on the one hand and covered the subject matter in depth. Additionally, both courses helped me become more familiar with the American corporate legal system that regulates one of the most (if not the most) developed capital markets in the world.

My Extracurricular Activities at Penn Law:

Penn Law organizes a variety of extracurricular activities such as trip to the Supreme Court in Washington DC, visit to the Barnes Museum, and a ski trip to the Pocono Mountains. On top of this, the school is engaged in parties and receptions especially at the beginning of the year to help its new LL.M. students meet each other and get familiar with each other.

My Favorite Place or Activity on the University Campus:

My favorite place on campus is Locust Walk (especially during summer and spring time) when it is crowded with students from all the campus and there are street shows and other social activities.
