Why I Chose Penn Law:

There are three reasons why I chose Penn Law:
1. International reputation
2. Accessible faculty and staff
3. Attention to individuals, especially for international students

My Best Experience at Penn Law:

First of all, Penn Law opened to me a new and exciting legal world, where I got so much valuable knowledge. It's a place where I can feel myself improving every day.
Secondly, I like the people in the Penn Law community. The professors are very accessible, although many of them are world-known scholars. The staff are responsible and helpful. The students, no matter where they come from, are brilliant and friendly.
Thirdly, the diversity of Penn Law makes me, as an international student, feel at home. It's a very open-minded school with vision.
Last, but not least, I am proud of the friendship between Penn Law and my home country. The “Goat,” which in fact is a supernatural animal from ancient Chinese tradition, has become the Penn Law's unofficial mascot and symbol of justice. And, we even have Professor Jacques deLisle who can teach Chinese law in fluent Chinese! I cannot think out of another place where I can be more involved in the community.

It's hard for me to list all the reasons why I like Penn Law right now, because many more may arise in the future.

Professor Who Influenced Me Most:

Professor David Rudovsky. I was impressed with his knowledge, teaching style and personality. He really knows how to teach.

My Favorite Course:

Evidence. That’s a complicated but truly instructive course. And it’s also what my home country lacks and needs.

My Favorite Philadelphia Moment:

Wandering in the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

My Extracurricular Activities at Penn Law:

Playing volleyball with classmates. Helping to organize parties, such as the International Afternoon.

My Favorite Place or Activity on the University Campus:

Playing volleyball with friends in Hutchinson Hall.
