
Student & Alumni Profiles Jose LecaHometown:São Paulo, Brazil Class Year:LL.M. 2003 Prior Education:LL.M. equivalent in Securities Law, Universidade de São Paulo What I Did Before Law School:Before coming to Penn Law, I had been working in a private law firm for four years, both as intern and, after graduation, as an associate lawyer. During this period my practice was focused in corporate law, telecommunications and antitrust Law. Why I Chose Penn Law:Great Law School with very interesting courses. My Best Experience at Penn Law:The best experience of this year has been the International Afternoon! Studying several aspects of the U.S. legal system with a practical focus and also the international environment of the LL.M. Program. Professor Who Influenced Me Most:Professor Felix Oberholzer-Gee of the Business and Public Policy Department of Wharton. Great discussions about privatization in developing countries! My Favorite Course:Intellectual Property Transaction – Extremely practical seminar focused in real transactions. My Favorite Philadelphia Moment:Wednesday evening concerts in Rittenhouse Square during the summer. What I'm Most Proud Of:Being the President of the LL.M. Association. My Extracurricular Activities at Penn Law:The LL.M. Association and the research with a Wharton Professor about Securities Law.
