Financial Aid

As is evident from these figures, attending law school in the United States is a very expensive endeavor. At Penn Law, we are a tuition driven institution, meaning that we use every dollar of tuition revenue to support the academic program. Accordingly, we do not have the ability to assist with tuition for most LL.M. students.

We have several merit grants that are awarded to LL.M. applicants; all students are considered for these grants. We generally notify students of these few awards (usually no more than 5-10 per class) during the months of March or April each year.

Because our ability to award assistance is very limited, we encourage you to seek other funding sources to support your education. You may wish to seek sponsorship from your employer or from your government, or from foundations, fellowships, and organizations sponsoring fellowships. The Rotary Club International has some scholarship opportunities; be sure to contact your local Rotary chapter. Some students arrange a private loan. You can learn about some of these opportunities from the resources collected below for your information.

Citibank Global Program Commercial Loan (WITHOUT CO-SIGNER)

Citibank offers a commercial loan program, available to international students enrolled at Penn Law and Wharton, that does not require a U.S. co-signer. A description of the law program can be found by clicking here.
