Penn Housing Rights Project

The Penn Housing Rights Project (PHRP) is a student run clinic with the mission of protecting the rights of tenants in the Philadelphia area. Student volunteers work in teams with attorneys from the private and public sectors and represent the rights of indigent litigants in landlord-tenant disputes. The students have immediate client contact, research relevant legal issues, and draft motions and briefs for municipal and appellate courts. Students who have completed three semesters of legal studies have the opportunity to appear in court.
