Professor Christopher Yoo is prominently cited in the judicial decision approving the AT&T/Time Warner merger, one of the most closely watched cases of the year.

Christopher Yoo, the John H. Chestnut Professor of Law, Communication, and Computer & Information Science and the Director of Penn Law’s Center for Technology, Innovation & Competition, has been prominently cited in the judicial decision approving the AT&T/Time Warner merger, one of the most closely watched cases of the year.

The decision by Judge Richard J. Leon of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia cites scholarship by Professor Yoo on the video programming and distribution industry. (See full decision below.) Professor Yoo is one of the nation’s leading authorities on law and technology, and his research focuses on how the principles of network engineering and the economics of imperfect competition can provide insights into the regulation of electronic communications.

Professor Yoo provided additional perspective on the decision in a June 12 Washington Post article.
