Under Pennsylvania law, if a girl is unable to obtain the consent of her parents for an abortion, or her parents refuse to consent to the procedure, then she can petition the court for relief to authorize the performance of the abortion.  Clinic members assist girls seeking this relief by discussing court procedures to them and by helping them draft petitions to the Philadelphia Family Court.  The clinic members work in conjunction with the Philadelphia Defenders Association, Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and the Philadelphia Women's Center.
