Members of the Emergency Contraception Group worked on three important projects this semester.  A student investigated whether Pennsylvania law puts any restrictions on ordering EC online. Other students looked into ways poor women can still have access to EC now that it has gone over the counter and is often prohibitively expensive, focusing on whether doctors are able to continue writing presecriptions for over the counter medicines and whether Pennsylvania law has rules governing poor women's access to contraception. Other students are looking into what the Child Custody Protection Act would mean for Pennsylvania providers and women, analyzing how the law would apply in Pennsylvania and how it would affect women who need to get abortions in other states.
