Travel Information

The Levy Conference Center is located in Silverman Hall, at the corner of 34th and Chestnut Streets (street map).  The entrance on 34th Street (immediately south of the intersection of 34th and Chestnut Streets) will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Otherwise, an entrance on Sansom Street between 34th and 36th Streets will be open all day.  Once inside the Law School, you will need to sign in, then follow the signs in the Law School to the Conference.

Ways to Travel to Philadelphia

By Train:  Amtrak and New Jersey Transit stop at 30th Street Station (at the corner of 30th and Market St.) in Philadelphia -- five blocks from the law school.

By Air:  Philadelphia International Airport is approximately 15-20 minutes from the law school by taxi cab (flat rate is appx. $25), Regional Rail (see R1/Airport schedule -- $5.50/person), or Lady Liberty Shuttle.

By Car:  The address of the Law School is 3400 Chestnut Street.  Street parking is metered (strictly enforced).  The Sheraton University City Hotel has garage parking on the corner of 36th and Chestnut Streets (the entrance to the garage is on 36th street immediately north of the intersection of 36th and Chestnut Streets).

Travel Within Philadelphia

Philadelphia's public transit system is SEPTA. 

Trolley/Subway:  The SEPTA trolley travels between Center City and West Philadelphia (the 36th & Sansom stop is on the same block as the law school). 

Regional Rail:  Regional Rail runs between the Airport, 30th Street Station, and the Philadelphia Suburbs.

Bus (Route 21 and 42):  The SEPTA bus travels between Center City and West Philadelphia.

Taxi: Taxi rides from Center City to the Law School will probably cost $10 or less per ride.

Hotel List

Our conference recommends the hotels listed below. The hotels are listed in terms of proximity to the conference, with the first listing as the closest. The Inn at Penn and the Sheraton are both located on campus while all other hotels listed are in Center City.  Center City is walking distance from Penn Law (see distances below), or an inexpensive cab ride.  The rates were gathered from hotels.com; however, we recommend that the attendee check with any number of online dealers, such as www.hotwire.com or www.travelocity.com, among others.
