Second Annual FALSA Event - 2007
Event is free to all and includes speaker, great food from Tierra Colombiana, DJ/music, and dancing (including salsa lessons).
This year's speaker is Prof Ramji-Nogales' from Temple University, will discuss the discrepancies in outcomes of asylum cases.

FALSA will become an annual celebration of LALSA's presence at Penn Law, to be held in during or shortly following the calendar period of Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept 15-Oct 15).

Fireside Chat with Clearly Gottlieb
Cleary Gottlieb will be hosting its annual Fireside Chat with LALSA members next Monday, March 19 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in room T-145.  The Fireside Chat is hosted by attorneys of Latino descent from Cleary Gottlieb and is an informal discussion of personal and professional life at large law firms and the necessary ingredients for a successful summer experience. 

This discussion is of particular benefit to first and second year law students preparing for summer jobs at firms or beginning to think about the selection process for next summer's employment.  This is also a great opportunity to meet people from one of the most prestigious law firms in the country and one of the most active in Latin America.
