EJF Programs EJF Book Sale : Students donate their class books, hornbooks, and study aids at the end of the semester. EJF holds book sales every semester to raise money for our scholarships. Our costs are extremely low: $20 for hard covers and $10 for paperbacks.
EJF Auction: On the third Thursday in February, students, alumni, and members of the Philadelphia community gather for EJF auction. With items donated by local businesses, students, and professors, EJF raises over $70,000 for scholarships every year.
Nonprofit Board Orientation and Training: In partnership with the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania , EJF trains third year students who have completed over 80 hours of public service how to serve on nonprofit boards. After graduation, participating students can contact their local United Way for placement on a nonprofit board of an organization in their new community. Even students who choose not to work for public interest organizations can still give their time, money, and attention to the nonprofit world, and serving on a board is a wonderful way to stay involved.
