Distinguished Lectures

Penn Law’s distinguished lecture series bring eminent thinkers to the Law School each year to speak on significant issues in the law. The lectures began in 1957 with the inaugural Owen J. Roberts Lecture in Constitutional Law, and today include five distinct lecture series on topics ranging from international law to trial advocacy.

Distinguished lectures are open to all members of the Law School and its alumni community, as well as outside academics, practitioners, the press, and members of the public. Lectures are generally eligible for CLE credit for attorneys. Advance registration is suggested to guarantee a seat, as lectures are popular events that often fill to capacity.
