Joint and Dual Degree Programs

As one of the world’s greatest research institutions, the University of Pennsylvania is home to an array of superb graduate and professional schools. These schools sit together on the University’s campus, and all are engaged in the integration of knowledge across disciplines.

Each year, our students build on their law degrees with complementary degrees in one of these fine graduate or professional schools. Penn Law has formal joint or dual degree programs that are available to students considering the University of Pennsylvania.

Students seek admission to the other program independent of the JD application and, in most cases, can apply to that second program either contemporaneously with their application to Penn Law or while in their 1L or 2L year. Because Penn Law and the sister school grant credit for a certain number of the other school’s courses, students typically save one year by doing both programs concurrently. There is a nominal Law School administrative fee for participation in a joint degree program.

Please click on any of the degrees below to learn more about that specific program.
