* These statistics were updated on April 4, 2005. The University of Pennsylvania reported 100% employment statistics to U.S. News & World Report in November 2004, but this our web site indicated that there was 99.6% employment, with .4% reported as "Unemployed/Seeking Employment" until this recent update. In an effort to make employment statistics available to students as soon as possible after they were collected, this web site was updated in March 2004 - shortly after our employment statistics for the Class of 2004 were reported to the National Association of Law Placement. At that time, we believed that one of the members of the class of 2003 was still seeking employment, and we reported that accordingly. The U.S. News & World Report statistics were reported in November 2004. In the time between March and November 2004, we learned from a faculty member that the student we previously reported to be unemployed had actually been employed since graduation, and had recently been in touch with that faculty member to report a job change in the Fall of 2004. This fact was properly reported to U.S. News, but regrettably, it was not updated on our web site, nor was a correction sent to NALP for their records. It is the goal of the career services office to assist all Penn Law students and graduates in seeking legal employment, and to accurately report the results of those efforts. We regret any confusion that this administrative error may have caused, and we will update our web page accordingly to reflect the correction.
