STATISTICS ON RECENT PLACEMENT

The JD program and the Penn Law experience enable our graduates to pursue successful and fulfilling careers, even in uncertain economic times. Big Law’s interest in our students remains strong, our students are highly successful starting their careers in clerkships, and many of our students pursue rewarding government and public interest work. Penn Law’s Career Planning and Professionalism office works closely with students to help define their career goals and develop plans to achieve them.

Penn Law students receive unparalleled support from staff and faculty in their pursuit of judicial clerkships. And today recent clerkship placements are at the highest levels in our history. For example, for the years 2008-10, our students and alumni secured 226 clerkships at all levels, with 30 of those alumni securing second clerkships.
