RESOURCES, PROGRAMS, & SERVICES

Career Planning and Placement provides students with a wealth of resources and programs to assist students in planning their career goals and prepare for a challenging and fulfilling career.

These include:

  • A comprehensive Career Manual ( pdf of table of contents ) and sample job applications by industry on our web site.
  • Workshops, Panel Discussions and Speaker Series.
  • The Law School reserves one hour each week in the First Year Curriculum for Professional Development Programming
  • Career Counselors all with JDs with a wide variety of practice experience are available daily to answer quick questions, and, by appointment, for more in-depth sessions.
  • Newsletter and email information about programming, job searching tips, alumni profiles and other information.
  • Databases containing mail-merge ready contact information for employers and judges nationwide.
  • Mock interviews that allow a student to test his or her interview skills and receive feedback from a practicing attorney and counselor.

On-and-Off-Campus Recruiting Programs that give students access to a wide variety of employers. Our On-Campus Recruiting Program attracts approximately 300 employers annually from all over the country. We also host Regional Interview Programs in California, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago and other locations, depending on interest. The Public Interest/Public Service Career Fair held Penn Law attracts regional, local and national public sector employers.
