Our renowned Toll Public Interest Center exposes all of our students to practice in a public sector setting. As a requirement for graduation, each student at Penn Law provides 35 hours of pro bono work in both second and third years of law school - and many exceed this requirement. Employers can interview 1L students for summer volunteer positions, 2L students for internships and other summer opportunities, and 3L students for permanent positions or fellowship opportunities. Each year, Penn Law students are recipients of some of the nation's most prestigious post-graduate fellowships including the Bristow Fellowship, the Skadden Fellowship, the Independence Foundation Fellowship, the Equal Justice Works Fellowship, and others. We welcome employer inquiries about projects that might be funded through these fellowships. Penn Law students also work together through the Equal Justice Foundation to raise money each year for fellow students working in summer positions in the public sector.
