Six scholars discuss whether the election of Barack Obama signals a new chapter in American politics and the major legal and policy challenges the new administration will face. Participating are:

  • Michael A. Fitts, dean of Penn Law and the Bernard G. Segal Professor of Law.
  • Kathleen Hall Jamieson, former dean and the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication in the Annenberg School and director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center.
  • Charles W. Mooney, associate dean of Penn Law and the Charles A. Heimbold Professor of Law
  • Wendell Pritchett, professor of law and former chair of metropolitan and urban policy for the Obama campaign.
  • Seth Kreimer, the Kenneth W. Gemmill Professor of Law.
  • Tobias Barrington Wolff, professor of law and adviser to the Obama campaign on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues.
