What is an RSS/Atom feed?
An RSS/Atom feed is an XML-based data format that allows publishers to syndicate information. It allows you to stay up to date on topics that interest you—all in one place—without visiting 20-30 different web sites to check for new content.
Most web browsers include tools to help you use RSS feeds. Look for the following icons/buttons on your web browser in or around the location bar:
- (Internet Explorer 7 and up, Firefox 3 and up)
- (Firefox 3 and up for Mac)
- (Safari 3+)
Even if your browser does not include such tools, you can still use RSS. All you need to do to get started is to add the URL (web address) for the desired feed to your RSS reader.

You can also add content from RSS feeds to your My Yahoo or iGoogle page.
