Sarah Paoletti

In the Media: Sarah Paoletti

  • Sarah Paoletti, lecturer and supervisor of Penn Law's Transnational Legal Clinic, participated in a panel discussion about illegal immigration following a dramatic reading of oral histories by undocumented immigrants. One of the stories was set in Philadelphia, which many believe is a de facto sanctuary for illegal immigrants. "Historically, Philly has understood the importance of police and immigrants being separate," said Paoletti. "But that doesn't mean there aren't raids here." (11/18/2008). City Paper.
  •   "We can debate immigration policy and we can debate about whether or not certain individuals have a right to be in this country, but I don't think that the debate should be whether or not they die on the border," says Sarah Paoletti, leader of Penn Law's Transnational Legal Clinic.     (9/17/2008).
