- Sarah Paoletti, lecturer and supervisor of Penn Law's Transnational Legal Clinic, participated in a panel discussion about illegal immigration following a dramatic reading of oral histories by undocumented immigrants. One of the stories was set in Philadelphia, which many believe is a de facto sanctuary for illegal immigrants. "Historically, Philly has understood the importance of police and immigrants being separate," said Paoletti. "But that doesn't mean there aren't raids here." (11/18/2008).
