Praveen Kosuri has a unique background in law, business, and public interest. As a former investment banker he is versed in all forms of capital raising for Fortune 500 companies as well as privately held businesses. In addition, his experience representing businesses as a corporate lawyer and commercial litigator allowed him to apply an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to solving his clients’ problems. That same integrated approach can be seen in his direction of the Law School’s transactional clinic. Praveen has marshaled the resources of the Clinic to positively impact distressed communities by creating a mix of clients which range from the small business owner starting a business in the inner-city to nonprofit organizations engaged in redevelopment projects to ventures creating technologies that can benefit society at large. Praveen began his clinical teaching career at the University of Chicago Law School. He was also an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University School of Law.
