Marcia Glickman is on the legal writing faculty and is responsible for the LLM legal writing program.

Marcia Glickman is on the legal writing faculty and is responsible for the LLM legal writing program. Additionally, Glickman co-teaches and supervises in the mediation clinic. Penn is Glickman’s third teaching appointment. At the University of Connecticut School of Law, she served as the Director of Academic Success Programs and the Externship Coordinator. She taught a variety of courses including the required LL.M survey course, US law and legal institutions, advanced legal method and mediation clinic.
From 1999-2003, Glickman taught torts, legal writing, legal method and advocacy at the National University of Singapore. In her final year in Singapore, she served as the Deputy Director of their new legal writing program. In addition to teaching, Glickman has extensive mediation experience including currently serving as a volunteer mediator in the EEOC and previously in Singapore’s Family Court. Additionally, she has represented children as a member of Volunteer Lawyers for Children America. A member of the Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut Bars, her main areas of legal interest are legal writing and research, clinical teaching, child advocacy and mediation. The mother of four children, she has daily opportunities to hone her alternative dispute resolution, communication and advocacy skills.
