Adjunct Professor of Law

Donyale “Doni” Reavis, JD, CAP, provides expert financial guidance as Vice President at the Miami office of Goldman Sachs Partners Family Office, within the Consumer and Wealth Management Division of Goldman Sachs. Providing family office services exclusively to retired and active Goldman Sachs partners, Doni advises domestic and international high net worth and ultra-high net worth families in tax compliance, estate planning, wealth transfer, investment strategy, philanthropic giving and risk management.

Prior to joining the firm, Donyale spent a number of years with BigLaw100 and regional law firms, and subsequently built a national boutique law practice in intellectual property, sports, art and entertainment law, and trust and estate planning for high net worth clients. During her twenty-plus year law career specializing in Business Law, Tax-Exempt Entities and Estate Planning, Doni advised a range of entities, foundations and high net worth individuals in professional sports, entertainment, and private equity seeded start-ups. A dual-degree graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (JD/MPA), Doni also earned a dual-major Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations from Boston University. She remains an adjunct faculty member of the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School — as a Business Law lecturer and Venture Capital Bootcamp professor — where she has served since 2018.

Doni became a Certified Advisor in Philanthropy in 2016, and completed the Certified Private Wealth Advisor executive education program at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business in 2019. Doni is a board member of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, and a long active member of the American Bar Association-Trust and Estate Planning and Sports & Entertainment Forums, and remains a licensed inactive member of the state bar associations of NY, MA, and DC.

Doni loves all things outdoors, has completed five marathons, and spent her childhood summers chasing frogs, fish and dogs from her grandparents’ summer home in Lawrenceville, Virginia. Mother of one and godmother of several, the former high school cheerleading captain is a huge sports fan, and passionate about philanthropic planning and financial literacy.
