Bio

Anthony Scirica is a Circuit Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and serves as the chairman of the Executive Committee of the Judicial Conference of the United States, appointed by U.S. Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. He also is a member of the United States Supreme Court's Advisory Committee on Civil Rules.

He practiced law in Montgomery County Pennsylvania where he also served as an assistant district attorney and a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas. Judge Scirica was a member of the Pennsylvania legislature and also served as chair of the Pennsylvania Sentencing Commission. In 1984 he was appointed United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and in 1987 appointed to the Court of Appeals.
