Bio

Anne Kringel is the director of the Law School's Legal Writing program and appellate advocacy courses. [More]
Anne Kringel is the director of the Law School's Legal Writing program and appellate advocacy courses. She is a nationally recognized expert in the field of legal analysis, research, and writing. Anne received her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A. in history from Yale College. She was a litigation associate at Faegre & Benson in Minneapolis and a member of the clinical faculty at Widener University School of Law before joining the Penn faculty in 1994. She teaches Pretrial Civil Practice and Law and Literature. Kringel is the secretary-treasurer of the Association of Legal Writing Directors and a member of the Legal Writing Institute. She is on the academic board of the Burton Awards for Legal Achievement and is a member of the West Advisory Board for Legal Writing. [Hide]
