Major Teaching and Clinical Responsibilities for the University of Pennsylvania and Affiliated Hospitals:

                    Children's Seashore House of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia:

• Serve as psychiatry discipline coordinator for the University Affiliated Program
• Direct First Things First, family support program for families with deaf members
• Provide supervision of consult-liaison work performed by child and adolescent psychiatry and pediatric residents, psychology post-doctoral fellows and interns
• Provide consultation to county mental health administrators in the development of services for individuals who have a sensory or other developmental disability
• Conduct psychosocial rounds and clinical neuroscience conferences
• Coordinate and teach a course on public policy and disability for University Affiliated Programs
• Oversee the psychiatric consultation liaison inpatient service and consult with administration regarding cases and policy
• Coordinate and teach a course on neurodevelopment for child psychiatry residents
• Serve as psychiatrist for Collaborative Office Rounds, Maternal and Child Health funded program for general pediatricians

                    The Child Guidance Center of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia:

• Clinical evaluation, consultation, training and research related to services for deaf children and adolescents
• Direct school based mental health clinics at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, Sterck State School for the Deaf, Overbrook School for the Blind, Lake Drive School, Home of the Merciful Savior School, and several programs for students who are deaf in the School District of Philadelphia
• Provide school-based and school-linked mental health consultation to public schools in the Delaware Valley regarding students with special needs who are mainstreamed
• Provide supervision to all staff working with deaf clients, including ongoing consultation with Family Based Mental Health Services for the Deaf
• Supervise two child psychiatry residents weekly
