What is a blog?

A weblog, or "blog" for short, is an online journal that provides web users with information, generally on a daily basis. A blog's subject can range from the day-to-day musings of individuals, to op-ed pieces, to reports of world events as they break. A blog's tone can range from stately to sarcastic, with shades of gray in between. Writers of blogs are called "bloggers" and the writing act itself is called "blogging." A list of blogs is called a "blogroll."

If you have any other questions about the biddleblog or blogs in general, contact Ed Greenlee or me.

Law Blogroll

When completed, this post will contain a directory of law-related blogs by the Penn Law community, peer institutions, law school professors, practitioners, and other relevant parties, selected by the librarians at Biddle Law Library.

Jordon Steele is the Archivist at Biddle. When he's not organizing the papers of the American Law Institute, the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Law (NCCUSL, if you work in acronyms), or the National Bankruptcy Archives, he works with the rest of the Public Services librarians to apply emerging techonlogies to the library's mission of outreach and instruction.
