Re: Interim Draft of the Uniform Mediation Act
We have attached a new Draft of the Uniform Mediation Act. The Draft contains the substantive provisions adopted by the Drafting Committees of the National Conference of Commissioners of Uniform State Laws and the American Bar Association Section on Dispute Resolution at their meeting in December 2000.
The Interim Draft does not include Reporter's Working Notes, as these are still in the process of revision to reflect the evolution of the Act and public comments. Readers interested in the richer discussion of the issues that the Reporter's Working Notes provide should consult the relevant sections of the Reporter's Working Notes for the November 2000 Draft.
The Drafting Committees welcome your written comments on the Draft. Comments should be received no later than January 30, 2001, for fullest consideration.
