PENN LAW VOLUNTEERS and LEADERS
Networking involves relationships - between a job seeker and a firm, between classmates, between Penn Law and its alumni. Every year, over 300 graduates volunteer to promote the mission and reputation of Penn Law. You can be a part of community by volunteering for school programs, attending alumni club events and/or offering your time and advice to Penn Law students. Your continuing participation with the Law School ensures that these ties are available to all alumni & students, all the time and around the globe and that your relationship with Penn Law remains vital and vibrant.
- If you have the opportunity to talk with alumni at an accepted-student spring reception, you'll remember what a difference that personal touch and information made in your decision to attend Penn Law.
- You might also remember how helpful it was to communicate with a graduate living and working outside the Philadelphia area if you were thinking of relocating and needed, firsthand, an insider's view of the area.
- Or perhaps an alumnus conducted your first mock interview, giving you the tools and confidence for the upcoming "real thing."
- For each Reunion Class Year there is a Chair and a Committee that helps to organize a reunion event and raise a class gift in honor of the milestone. Every five years graduates from the 1930s through the present return to the Law School for two days of celebrations.
- Class agents, who are elected at graduation each year, remain liaisons between the alumni body and the Law School.
- Alumni at law firms throughout the country, 70 firms at last count, volunteer as Firm Solicitors to coordinate activities and fundraising among fellow Penn Law graduates to promote the institution's reputation.
- With 33 alumni clubs around the world, you're likely to find one near you where you can enjoy networking events, CLE speaker receptions, opportunities to meet and welcome entering 1Ls and much more. Participate in these events, offer your ideas for further outreach, or volunteer to help lead a group.
