GET INVOLVED - YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Many alumni of the University of Pennsylvania Law School are dedicated volunteers of the school. Every year, over 300 graduates volunteer to promote the mission and reputation of Penn Law.

A Tradition of Philanthropy

Beginning in their third year at Penn Law School, students establish a tradition of philanthropy for the Law School by making the "3L Gift" to the school. The Class of 2001 commissioned a marble bust of founder James Wilson that is displayed at the entrance to Levy Conference Center in Silverman Hall. The Class of 2002 raised money for a one-time gift toward the establishment of the Raymond Pace Alexander and Sadie T.M. Alexander Chair in Civil Rights.

Class Agents

Class agents, who are elected at graduation each year, remain liaisons between the class members and the Law School.

Firm Solicitors

Alumni at law firms throughout the country, 70 firms at last count, volunteer as Firm Solicitors to coordinate activities and raise funds among fellow Penn Law graduates to promote the institution's reputation.

Reunion Classes

For each Reunion Class Year there is a Chair and a Committee helping to organize a reunion event and raise a class gift in honor of the milestone. Every five year's graduates from the 1930s to the 2000s return to the Law School for a weekend of celebrations.

Young Alumni Network (known as Y.A.N.)

Alumni representatives from cities around the United States have volunteered their time to establish this pilot program. Y.A.N. was created to bring Penn Law Alumni together and provide networking and business opportunities to young professionals. The program is also a way to keep our alumni connected to the Law School after graduation. While the program is in its early stages, the Law School is not able to sponsor the events that are planned in each city. Currently, invitations to these events are sent via email only. If you are interested in receiving an invite please make sure we have your updated information, including your preferred email address.
