WAYS TO GIVE

Annual Giving FAQs

What are important deadlines for gifts?

In order to have your gift count for a particular tax year, your gift must be postmarked by December 31st of that year. (For example, if you want your gift to count for the 2011 tax year, your gift should be postmarked by December 31, 2011.)

The University's fiscal year operates on a slightly different schedule, from July 1st to June 30th. In order to have a gift count towards the University's fiscal year, as well as to ensure that it will appear in the Annual Report and People Supporting Penn records, please donate a gift by June 30th.

What's the difference between the Graduating Class Gift Fund and the Annual Giving Fund?

The Graduating Class Gift Fund is a special fund set aside for the fundraising efforts of the current graduating class of Penn Law. This changes from year to year as different classes choose to support a variety of efforts around the Law School. Alumni can donate to this fund, but in order for your gift to be more effective, it is recommended that the donation go towards the Annual Giving fund.

How can I verify information for gifts and pledges?
