THE PENN LAW FIRM PROGRAM
What is the Penn Law Firm Program?
The Firm Program has been in existence for over 20 years and boasts over 60 of our countries most prestigious law firms with 10 or more alumni employed. The program is a partnership between alumni fundraising volunteers and Penn Law School with the following goals:
- Foster camaraderie among alumni
- Expand the network of Penn Law alumni
- Achieve 100% giving participation from alumni firm members
- Encourage annual increases in dollars donated to support Annual Giving
What are the Benefits?
Alumni participation in Penn Law's Annual Giving fund makes a tremendous difference to the Law School. Support from alumni has a direct correlation with the Law School's ability to attract top legal scholars, to offer a rich curriculum and to provide financial assistance to its students. Above all, Annual Giving serves to bring Penn Law graduates together for a common purpose: maintaining the Law School's tradition of excellence. In addition to insuring that the Law School maintains its reputation as a first class institution, the Development & Alumni Relations office has created the following benefits designed to publicize each firms' commitment to the Law School community, which we also hope will aid your firm in successfully recruiting our students.
Your firm will:
- Receive one free student information mailbox stuffing
- Have your firm logo, a brief write-up and a link your firm home page posted on the Penn Law Firm website, which is linked to the Career Planning and Placement website
- Enjoy a firm breakfast attended by Dean Fitts
- Be announced to the Law School community & to all of the firms in the program via email
- Be recognized in the Annual Report of Donors
- Be honored on a plaque prominently displayed to students in the Career Planning and Placement office
How does the Program Work?
Firms with 10 or more Penn Law alumni employed identify either a Partner Representative or an Associate Representative that work to encourage partners and/or associates within his/her firm to support Penn Law Annual Giving. Because our staff takes care of most of the work, the responsibilities of Firm Representatives do not take a lot of time. We are always looking to expand this powerful alumni network so please take a look at the volunteer descriptions below. If you are interested in getting involved or learning more about the Firm Program, please contact Annual Giving at (215) 746-0341 or annualgiving@law.upenn.edu.
