Privacy Policy: Development and Alumni Relations

We recognize the importance of strong privacy and security for the online community and have therefore implemented a number of measures to safeguard your information.

First, alumni have the ability to remove all or part of their listing in the online community. This may be easily accomplished by visiting the Penn Law Alumni Directory, registering, and visiting the page View/Update my Directory Listing.  We invite you to explore this page, review your profile, and select any and all privacy settings you wish to apply.  Note that you can elect to hide your directory listing or just certain information from being viewed by others by clicking on Hide/unhide information from view in your profile.

Second, the security of alumni records is protected with firewalls and intrusion detection systems. We take active measures to assure overall system security, monitoring security issues and industry trends.

Third, the information we maintain about you in the Penn Law Alumni Directory is available only under the following restricted circumstances:

  • To Penn alumni who have registered with the Online Community, and
  • To our vendor, Harris Internet Services, which maintains the Penn Law Alumni Directory  under strict confidentiality requirements and has earned the Better Business Bureau's Online Privacy Seal.

If you have any questions or comments about your information and the Penn Law Alumni Directory, please contact Lucyna J. Gorski, Director, Development and Alumni Relations Services, at 215-898-1513 or lgorski@law.upenn.edu.

The University of Pennsylvania understands the importance of protecting the privacy of personal information, especially in today's increasingly electronic environment.
