S. White Rhyne, L’55,
a retired attorney in Washington,
D.C., received a “Servant of Justice
Award” from the Legal Aid
Society of the District of Columbia
at an April dinner celebrating
the Society’s 75th anniversary.
He received the award for his
efforts to ensure equal access
to justice in the District of Columbia.
Sidney began his career
at Legal Aid. A former member
of Legal Aid’s Board of Trustees,
Sidney has provided pro bono
services for five decades, continuing
in retirement to represent
indigent clients.
