Richard C. Pepperman II L’90 has given generously to the Law School’s general endowment.
Pepperman is a deputy managing partner of Sullivan and Cromwell’s litigation group and a partner at the firm since January 1999. Pepperman clerked for Judge Edwards R. Becker
of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and later Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist of the U.S. Supreme Court, working as a litigation associate at Sullivan Cromwell
between the two clerkships.
Pepperman has represented high-profile clients in antitrust, intellectual property and security cases brought by the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of
Justice. Among those clients are Cablevision Systems Corporation, Bankers Trust Company, Morgan Stanley & Co., MBNA America Bank, N.A., and the Microsoft Corporation, whom
he served as a trial lawyer, from 1998 to 2002, in a famous antitrust action brought the federal government.
