Jason C. Menegakis L’98, an associate at the Philadelphia law firm Klehr, Harrison, Harvey, Branzburg & Ellers, LLP, has joined the board of directors of the 21st Century Society of the Philadelphia Orchestra, a group that seeks to expand the orchestra’s audiences. Beatrice M. (Trixie) Schaffrath L’98, following a two-year clerkship with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago, joined the Hong Kong office of Baker & McKenzie as an associate in its China Practice Group. Sharif Street L’99 ran in the Democratic primary for a seat representing the 195th District of Philadelphia in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He practices real estate law with Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen in Philadelphia. Mary E. Sigler L’00, a philosophy Ph.D. candidate at Arizona State University received the Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship for her proposed dissertation entitled “Contradiction, Coherence, and Guided Discretion in the Supreme Court’s Capital Sentencing Jurisprudence.” The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation awards the fellowships in support of original and significant study of ethical or religious values in all fields of the humanities and social sciences. Heim L’01 will clerk for the Hon. Jeffrey R. Howard on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit for the 2002-2003 term.
Rosanna (Perretta) Spadini L’01 works in the New York office of Greenberg Traurig as an associate concentrating her practice on commercial real estate. She was married in August 2001.
